Multi-Colour Laminated EVA Foam Protective Insert
Black and green two-layer laminated EVA foam insert, CNC-carved in one piece. The colourful lower layer makes cavities highly visible while the black top layer is wear- and pressure-resistant — precise locating and protection for tools and precision parts.
Project Background
The customer's product range covers many models with widely differing shapes, so the packaging had to satisfy three requirements at once: precise locating, thorough protection and efficient identification. Conventional single-colour foam inserts give poor cavity visibility and are easy to mis-pick.
Our Solution
We used a two-layer laminate of black and coloured EVA foam, CNC-carved in a single operation:
- Two-colour laminated structure: the black top layer is wear- and pressure-resistant while the coloured lower layer is bright and eye-catching, making every cavity immediately visible and significantly improving picking efficiency
- Single-piece precision carving: all cavities are CNC-machined to actual product dimensions for a tight fit with zero movement
- Contour cut-outs: irregular cut-out areas are carved in one pass, with clean edges and no burrs
- Shock absorption: high-density EVA absorbs transport vibration, preventing knocks and scratches
Applications
Widely used for locating and transit protection of tool sets, hardware parts and instruments. Exclusive colour schemes can also be matched to brand colours to elevate the packaging.
