Project Background
The customer manufactures precision hardware parts, with products covering metal fittings in many different shapes that need accurate locating and protection during transport and storage. Conventional cartons plus loose filler could not meet the protection requirements for precision components, and parts were easily mixed up after unpacking.
Our Solution
We produced custom inserts from high-density EVA foam, CNC-carving cavities that match each part exactly. Key highlights include:
- Laser marking: part numbers and names laser-engraved beside each cavity for easy identification and sorting
- Precision fit: every cavity CNC-machined to the actual part dimensions, ensuring zero movement
- Multi-layer structure: layered by part height to make full use of the available space
- Shock absorption: high-density EVA absorbs transport vibration, protecting precision hardware
Customer Feedback
After adopting the laser-marked inserts, warehouse sorting efficiency rose by 40% and the transit breakage rate fell to zero. Precision hardware parts were perfectly protected over long-distance transport, and the laser-engraved numbering greatly reduced manual checking time.
