Project Background
An international brand customer required the EVA cushioning strips on their product accessories to use a specified brand of double-sided tape, ensuring adhesion, temperature resistance and long-term stability met their global quality standards.
Our Solution
We selected 3M VHB series double-sided tape and laminated it to the EVA foam with dedicated equipment, ensuring an even adhesive layer free of air bubbles. After lamination the material was cured for 24 hours so the adhesive and foam fully bonded, reaching optimum bond strength.
Customer Feedback
The product passed the customer's stringent peel-strength test, thermal cycling test and ageing test, with every indicator meeting specification. The customer has since written the solution into their global sourcing standard.
