Project Background
An automotive parts factory was experiencing frequent surface damage as precision metal components knocked against each other during handling between process steps. They needed a reusable cushioning protection solution.
Our Solution
We used high-density EVA foam, cut into transit protection pads shaped to each part, with every component sitting in its own foam cavity. The energy-absorbing properties of the foam isolate parts from collision, and the pads can be reused hundreds of times without deformation.
Customer Feedback
After introduction, the impact damage rate fell from 5% to below 0.1%, saving substantial rework and scrap cost each year. The pads proved highly durable, with a single set lasting more than six months.
